Paradox of Using AI Tools for Writing
The paradox of using AI tools for writing:
They’re great at lifting flawed writing to average. But try turning average into good, or good into great, and they begin to fail. Spectacularly.
No surprises there. They’re excellent at spell checks and grammar fixes. But in the process, they strip away every ounce of individuality, style, and hence, the writer's individual voice from the text.
In a way, they’re useful only because we humans aren’t writing well enough in the first place.
